Community Update: Market Closed THIS FRIDAY, Jan 24th
Market is CLOSED on January 24th - We plan to open on Jan 31st for an EPIC REUNION!
Pray for Rain! Red Rock, Feb 2024
Dear Topanga Farmers Market Community,
Due to the extended Red Flag Warning and the ongoing efforts by multiple agencies working tirelessly to clean up after the fire and complete critical projects to protect our canyon from future fires, we are unable to host the Topanga Farmers Market this Friday, January 24th.
We were so looking forward to gathering with you this week, but we are incredibly grateful to everyone working hard to support and safeguard our canyon during this time.
We’ll have to wait just a little longer to be together again—our next market will be on Friday, January 31st, and we can’t wait to welcome you back then.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the market and our community.
Warm regards,
Kate, Freddi, and Sarah
Topanga Farmers Market

HOPE TO SEE YOU ON JAN 31st!
Support Our Market Community Members:
One of our beloved vendors, Hannah Wear of Greener Empowerment Foundation, tragically lost her home. Hannah has been a true steward of our canyon, championing native plant awareness, pollinator projects, and Sustainable Saturday events. We are committed to supporting her, her husband Kevin, and their daughter Pearl as they rebuild their lives. If you’re able to help, please contribute to their GoFundMe campaign here: Support the Parkhurst-Wear Family.
Additionally, many of our loyal customers have lost their homes. Click here to see a list of families impacted. If you know of others, please let us know so we can share their campaigns with our community.
Support the Community Brigade:
The Community Brigade’s efforts were instrumental in protecting the canyon during the Palisades Fire, and we’re so grateful for their incredible work
The Community Brigade is a groundbreaking partnership with Los Angeles County Fire aimed at bridging the resource gap between professional first responders and local communities during disasters.
Their efforts were instrumental in protecting the canyon during the Palisades Fire, and we’re so grateful for their incredible work. Currently launching in seven pilot communities in the Santa Monica Mountains, in partnership with LAFD, they aim to expand to at-risk communities across the West.
Volunteers are trained in fire behavior, communications, home hardening, and operational procedures to support response agencies during wildfires and other disasters. By empowering local communities, they’re creating a cultural shift toward greater resilience and preparedness.
Come meet the Community Brigade at the market on Friday, January 31st to learn more about their mission, training opportunities and sign up for a home hardening check. In the meantime, you can support their work here.

Seeking Healing Practitioners for NEXT FRIDAY’s Market:
As we prepare to reopen the Topanga Farmers Market NEXT Friday, January 31st, we’re inviting healing practitioners to join us in offering a little extra care to our community. We’d love to feature services like chair massages, reiki, or other self-care offerings to help create a space for comfort and restoration after the challenges our canyon has faced these past two weeks. If you’re a practitioner and would like to donate your time and talents, we’d be thrilled to include you - please reach out at [email protected]. While these services would be offered as a donation, customers will have the opportunity to leave tips as a gesture of gratitude. If you know someone who might be interested in participating, please share this with them—we’d love their support in creating a healing space for our community.
Seeking Local Businesses, Nonprofits & Community Groups to Join the January 31st Market:
If you are a local business or nonprofit / community group offering services or information to assist residents and would like to have a free booth at the January 31st market, please reach out to us at [email protected].
