SO MUCH TO CELEBRATE THIS FRIDAY!!
There’s so much to celebrate at the market this Friday! It’s Father’s Day this Sunday, the road is open, school is out for summer and we have 4 NEW FARMS and FOOD VENDORS joining the market, so major celebrations are in order!
🏁 We’re gearing up to honor dads, grandpas and father-figures June 14th with a Classic Cars & Coffee Meetup on the ball field 🚗 ☕.
We’ve arranged a special lineup of artisan vendors to help you find the perfect gift for a special guy in your life: vintage tees by Kill Surf City 👕, authentic Hawaiian shirts and board shorts by Pete’s Aloha Shack 🌺 (AKA Freddi’s dad), native plants by Greener Empowerment 🌿 and wine tasting with Dancing Crow Vinyards 🍷.
🤖 School’s out so definitely bring the kids to experience our very special guest Steve’s Machine Empire with his interactive art contraptions - kids and adults alike will be enamored with his hands-on machines made from found objects.
Come support our returning amazing artisan vendors: vintage fashion by Tavin, candles by Mood Servant, jewelry by LoveLeeOr, and sustainable cotton clothing by Be Bindaas.
Two new artisans are joining us on Friday: Citrine Casa by Heather Tehrani with vintage tableware and Earthling Botanicals with native plants, candles and crystals.
4 new farms and food vendors are starting on Friday!
🌱 Creation Family Farms with microgreens, spirulina, and spouts
🥑 AZ-Ranch with organic tomatoes, green onions, shallots, broccolini, kale, beets, strawberries, carrots, herbs, microgreens, duck eggs and honey
🍔 🌯 Ardi Eats & Treats - GMO-free, no seed oils, grass-fed beef burgers, breakfast burritos, and more (with vegan and GF options!)
🍊 Summit Juice Co Juices, wellness shots and seamoss
🥕 🍞 Plus our usual all-star lineup of fresh produce and prepared foods.
Read on for our featured vendors this Friday for dads, kids on summer break and everyone in between…
👕 Kill Surf City Vintage: Discover a treasure trove of nostalgia with Kill Surf City Vintage. Specializing in vintage tees handpicked during their travels across the USA, Kill Surf City Vintage has the timeless styles and classic designs.
🌺 Pete's Aloha Shack: Dad-owned and operated, Peter curates a unique collection of vintage, authentic Hawaiian shirts. In addition to these vibrant shirts, you'll find an assortment of board shorts and Hawaiian dresses, perfect for summer at the beach.
🌱 Native Plant Sale: School is out and who doesn’t love a little summer gardening project? Stop by Greener Empowerment Foundation and Sprouthouse Organics to buy native plants and seedlings to attract pollinators and restore our canyon’s natural habitat.
🤖 Steve’s Interactive Art Machines: Steve Craig is an inventor, artist, designer, photographer, builder, and maker of interactive art machines for kids. His first creation was a fully mechanical drawing machine fabricated from bicycle parts and steel. Steve soon discovered kid's curiosity and delight with his contraptions. He continues to experiment, collect and repurpose materials, and build and design machines with kids in mind.
🍷 Dancing Crow Vineyards: Pick up a bottle of sustainably-grown wine for dad and use it as an excuse to wine-taste at the market. You won’t know which to buy unless you sample them all, right? Let booth manager, Moses, be your farmers market sommelier — he will help you select the perfect bottle to take home from this family-owned and operated winery.
🥩 Perennial Pastures and Casitas Valley Pastures: With beautiful weather forecasted for Father’s Day, it’s the perfect time for a BBQ. Pick up some pasture-raised, regenerative meat or organic pork, lamb, and poultry at the market!
We STILL need your support!
Our new market will only be as strong and amazing as the community that supports it. Here’s how you can get involved:
Share and Comment on our Instagram and Facebook posts: Help show our vendors that we have a vibrant, supportive, and excited community and spread the word to other potential customers.
Write a Yelp Review: If you share a Yelp review, show it to us at the Manager’s Booth and we’ll give you a coupon for a free tamale.
Spread the Word: Talk to your friends and neighbors who don’t use email or social media, and share the good news about the market.
Market Volunteers: Sign up to work at the market on Fridays. Click here to express interest in volunteering or email us.
Market Sponsors: We still have a lot of work to do – and we have big plans for the future. We would like to enhance the market with music and entertainment, children’s programs, nonprofit booths and special events like electronic recycling and workshops. We also need ongoing support for our regular operating costs. Check out our Market Sponsorship Program here.
Artists: Apply to sell your art and wares at the market. Apply here.
